Rustic Mantels, rustic fireplace shelves, countertops and posts will be the focal point in any room and we feel our Redwood, Juniper, Maple and Yew Wood Mantels are among the best. We can cut almost any size if we do not have it in stock. The grains vary from burl and curly to root and straight grain. The countertops or shelves are just thinner cuts from the mantels. The following pictures are some samples of what we have. Any of these mantels or countertops will make your room a place to talk about. The picture above is of a maple burl log we milled. These slabs are
approximately 88" to 101" long x 22" to 28" wide x 3" to 8" thick.
These slabs have two natural edges, one will need to be cut straight to
serve as a mantel. In most cases, after sending pictures of the individual
slabs, you can decide which of the edges to keep, and we can cut it for you.
These Maple cluster burl logs were some of the best pieces for rustic
mantels we have ever cut. |

Hello
George from Central Illinois. Last summer we purchased two beautiful
mantels from you for our stone fireplaces. You asked that once the
fireplaces were done to send you some photos. Attached are the
photos showing how beautiful the mantels look in our new home. Above

George, Thought you might be
interested in the finished product. You sent this piece to CT. about 2-3
months ago. I put it in a kiln for 3 weeks, worked, oiled, installed lights
in the underside and installed it. All worked out great! It is truly the
centerpiece of the room. Hope to use you again in the future. Thanks for the

George, Just a quick note to let you know that the Quilted Maple Fireplace Mantel that I ordered from your web site, has arrived safe and sound in Wisconsin. It is beautiful! My compliments to the person who prepared and finish sanded the mantel. It now looks so much better than your web picture, of just the rough cut slab.
