After our wood comes in on trucks, it needs to be cleaned up. The roots are loaded with dirt, rocks and other debris that needs to be removed before the cutting begins. The picture below shows two redwood stumps arriving in our yard. |

In the pictures below you can see just how much dirt and rock there was in the roots above. |

Power washing is quite the dirty job. But all of the dirt and rock must be removed before we can begin cutting using our pole mill. |
 |
We use a 4,000 psi power washer with a spinning, rotating nozzle which is very effective and it sprays the dirt and mud everywhere. This is a job for the new guys. Then they can work their way up to cleaner jobs like packing and shipping! |
